Run moneyhorse run!

This is a recent piece for the New York Times travel section, it's online now and will be published in this Sunday (Oct 30) paper.

I had tons of fun with this piece but the story isn't necessarily a good news for most people including myself. Major airlines continue to cut flights this holiday season while the number of passengers increase. So traveling will be quite hectic -expensive tickets, packed planes and long lines will be expected.
Many airlines also launched some new policies- basically if you pay more, you can skip the security check line, check in more languages, board the plane before others and even enjoy more legroom....Unless you are one of those who can afford the moneyhorse, this kinda sucks.

Great thanks to AD Corinne and the editors at the Times for letting me run wild with such a practical story.

Interview in the new Gestalten book and Art Tails project

Yayyy, I have an interview feature in the new Gestalten book: Illustration Unlimited-the essence of contemporary illustration.

The book will be released:

Continental Europe and UK: late September
Asia and Australia/NZ: early October
North America: mid October
Latin America: mid October

Find out more on Gestalten's website if you are interested!

I also participated in the Art Tails project:

Art Tails is a charity art-book app for i-Phone/i-Pad by 180(and increasingly more) artists from around the world. All the profit of the project goes to the rebuilding of Tohoku, Japan after the disastrous 311 earthquake. I think the project is a brilliant idea as it promotes arts and enables us "starving artists" to contribute with our pictures! I hope you will like it too, thanks for the support!

You can purchase the app here.
